Frances has lived and worked in various environmental and social ecosystems, and on indigenous lands on the N. American continent. Frances’s work and desire to raise her now adult daughters, independently. Brought her to move, from the Sonoran Desert to her childhood home of the Atlantic Coastal Plain of Delaware. Where she completed her associate degree in science from Delaware Technical and Community College (1997). For the love of the mountains and the West, Frances then moved to the Central Rockies in Montana. Bringing her two daughters with her. Now, Frances’s family has grown to include a grandson, a son-in-law, and many pets and plants.

Frances has worked in many capacities of care with all ages across the lifespan. Her love of learning and social exchange brought her to complete her bachelor’s degree in nursing science with a minor in health law and ethics online from the longest-running nursing program in the country, Drexel University (2015). While practicing Western Medicine, Frances has kept her learning anchored in various other types of health education and practices such as herbal medicine including cannabis as medicine, nutrition, healthy and local food access, soil health and human health, and rural health issues. Jumping on the trend of mini course education Frances has tailored many of her required Ceu’s for nursing licensure continue education credits towards topics like nutrition, rural and tribal health and suicide interventions. Frances completed the first cannabis continuing education for nurses offered at the 2014 Portland Patients out of Time Conference. Frances keeps current on cannabis medicine as a member of healer.com. Other current continuing education and certificate courses in progress are women’s and men’s health-specific care through Sonic Healthcare, regenerative health studies on a scholarship at Rodale Institute, and certification in Nutrional Psychiatry certification course through Integrative Psychiatry Institute. All her studies have led Frances to develop a unique independent health consulting practice We Stand for The Trees. Frances is comfortable discussing all modalities of health care and encourages choice as part of creating each client’s health plan.

Frances likes to spend time in her organic greenhouse and garden. Frances is a craft herbalist growing plants for making Medicinals, botanical dyes, and prints.
She grows and harvests local food. Focusing on filling her diet with as many local foods as available. She practices balneotherapy on regular basis and can often be found in a hot mineral water pool. Other activities include fire flow dancing and a new love of Alpine skiing and open-water swimming. Frances strives to show others that their lives can grow health and happiness regardless of where they started or the paths they have walked.
